Red Dead Online - Release Date December 1, 2020

The new Bounty Hunters Expansion Update arrived in Red Dead Online on December 1st, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (and via backward compatibility also on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S).
It has a size of 4.9 GB on Xbox One and 5.3 GB on PS4. Although the update has been labeled 1.24 on the Rockstar Support page, it's actually numbered 1.26 in-game.

Red Dead Online: Bounty Hunters Role Expansion
With the new Red Dead Online update, the Bounty Hunter Role has been expanded with 10 more Bounty Hunter ranks of progression.
To start the 10 new Bounty Hunter levels, you have to purchase the "Prestigious Bounty Hunter License" for from the Bounty Board.
The Bounty Hunter Role expansion update features:

- Several new Infamous Bounty Posters have been added.
- All existing Free Roam Bounty Missions have had new locations added
- When you reach Bounty Hunter Rank 30, you’ll continue to accumulate Bounty Hunter XP - which can be traded for RDO$ and Gold in the Awards Menu.
- Newcomers can save 5 Gold Bars off the cost of the Bounty Hunter License

Three new Bolas Styles have been added to Red Dead Online, and can be unlocked through Prestigious Bounty Hunter progression:
[December 22, 2020] Two new visual variants of existing weapons have been added to Red Dead Online, unlocked for free as Holiday Gifts:

Red Dead Online: Standalone Version
Red Dead Online is now available to be purchased as a standalone game for PS4 (PlayStation Store). Xbox One (Microsoft Store) and PC (Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store, and Steam) at the price of $4.99, which is 75% off the regular price, until February 15, 2021.
Players who own the standalone version of Red Dead Online will have the option to purchase Story Mode at any time.
Red Dead Online: Daily Challenge Reset
- Daily Challenge streaks are no longer be able to be maintained indefinitely past 28 days. Instead, once a player hits a 28-day Daily Challenge streak, their streak counter will reset, and they will receive a lump cash payment of RDO$100.
- Any player with a Daily Challenge Streak greater than 28 days prior to December 1st, 2020 will have their streak counter reset and receive a one-time cash payment of RDO$600.
- The amount of Gold awarded for completing Daily Challenges has been reduced by 50%.
This is a change compared to before, where keeping a streak going for more than 28 days would let you keep the maximum reward multiplier of 2.5x. This, of course, has not been received well by the community, because it means players will receive significantly less gold for completing daily challenges.

Red Dead Online: New Outlaw Pass No. 4
New rewards for the Wheeler Rawson and Co. Club have been added to Red Dead Online, available for free to all players for a limited time through 100 Tiers.
As part of the Bounty Hunters Expansion update in Red Dead Online, players can also purchase the Outlaw Pass No. 4 for until March 15, 2021 for access to 100 Ranks of exclusive benefits.
All Rewards earned during this period will persist after the Club Membership ends. The Outlaw Pass No. 4 Rewards include:
- 30 Gold Bars
- Cold weather clothing and coats
- New Satchel and Skill Pamphlets
- Role XP boosts during the Club Membership period
- New Horse Manes and Tails
- Filters for your Advanced Camera with added effects
- Ammo upgrades
- The Level 100 Reward is Arthur Morgan's Colter coat from Story Mode ("The Morement" Outfit)
Players who get the Outlaw Pass No. 4 within the first week will receive 10 Gold Bars back + RDO$400 within 72 hours of purchasing the pass.
Gameplay Improvements
- Players now have the option to skip the Red Dead Online Intro Mission directly after customizing their character in the Character Creator. Players who skip will be shown an updated, expanded cutscene that gives an overview of the current state of Red Dead Online.
- Players can now equip the Advanced Camera while on a Horse. When the player is holding it or has it equipped, the ability to mount and dismount will be blocked. The viewfinder will turn green when pointed at something required to be photographed in a currently active Daily Challenge.
- Players now have the option to choose between ‘Stubble’ or ‘No Stubble’ with any Beard option.
- Updates have been made to the end of the match sequence for Showdown Modes. These updates have been made with the intent to better punctuate the moment the match ends and improve communication of match results as the sequence flows into the outro celebration.
- A new ‘Gunspinning Management’ menu has been added to the Player Menu that allows players to preview, manage, and equip their learned Gunspinning Tricks.
- Updates have been made to existing Free Roam Bounty Missions:
- Free Roam Bounty Mission timers now do not appear until players have reached the go-to area, gotten close to the target, is escorting the target or there is only one-minute remaining.
- Missions offered at certain Bounty Boards that are very far away from that board have been removed from that board's Mission pool.
Economy Balancing
- Free Roam Bounty Mission pay-outs over time have been updated:
- Pay-outs in the 0-5 minute completion range have remained the same
- Pay-outs in the 5-10 minute completion range have slightly increased
- Pay-outs in the 10+ minute range tail off considerably faster
- In addition, base Bounty Hunter XP given for completing a Player Bounty Mission has been increased to 300 Bounty Hunter XP (up from 150 Bounty Hunter XP).
- Naturalist XP/XP rewards for selling samples from the ‘Farmland Habitats’ category have been reduced:
- 25 Naturalist XP is now awarded to players for selling an animal sample from the Farmland Habitats category
- Samples from all other non-legendary animal categories will still award 50 Naturalist XP when sold
- For all Awards added in this update and onwards, players will no longer receive a buckle item for completing all tiers of an Award. Players will instead receive a set amount of Gold for completing an Award for the first time.
