On this page you can find the full GTA Vice City Map in the highest resolution possible and different formats. We also have a detailed guide on all the map locations and landmarks you can encounter in the world of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories.
GTA Vice City and Vice City Stories are set in the 3D Universe version of the fictional Vice City, heavily inspired by Miami, Florida. This map is of course completely different from the HD Universe version of the city featured in GTA 6.
Both games take place in the 80s (specifically 1986 for GTA Vice City, and 1984 for GTA VCS), reflecting the vibrant colors, music, and style of that era. The map of Vice City is divided into two main islands connected by bridges, with each area offering its own unique character, landmarks, and features.

GTA Vice City Map
Below you find details on all the areas featured in the map of GTA Vice City and GTA VCS, with their respective districts, key locations and landmarks.
GTA Vice City Beach (Eastern Island)
The eastern island, based on Miami Beach, is where Vice City’s high-end areas are located, featuring luxurious hotels, nightclubs, and the city’s famous beach.
- Ocean Beach: An iconic, neon-lit area inspired by Miami’s South Beach, Ocean Beach is known for its hotels, nightclubs, and art deco architecture. Notable locations include the Ocean View Hotel (the player’s initial safe house) and the Pole Position Club, a business the player can acquire.
- Leaf Links: Just west of Vice City Beach, this district is dominated by the Leaf Links Golf Course & Country Club.
- Vice Point: A blend of luxury apartments, entertainment venues, and shopping areas. Notable locations include the Malibu Club, an upscale nightclub the player can own, and the North Point Mall, Vice City’s primary shopping hub.
- Washington Beach: Located just north of Ocean Beach, this area is popular with tourists and features various nightlife spots.
Notable landmarks here include Tommy Vercetti's first safehouse, the Ocean View Hotel, the Pole Position Club, the Malibu Club, and North Point Mall. Much of the architecture reflects Miami’s art-deco design.
GTA Vice City Mainland (Western Island)
The mainland area of Vice City is home to working-class neighborhoods, industrial zones, and bustling commercial districts. It has a mix of residential, industrial, and business areas that reflect the city's economic diversity.
- Downtown: The financial heart of Vice City, with skyscrapers and corporate buildings. The Hyman Memorial Stadium, a major sports arena, hosts events like Demolition Derbies, adding to the area’s bustling activity.
- Little Havana: Heavily influenced by Cuban culture, Little Havana has a unique atmosphere with Latin music, markets, and the Café Robina, a hub for the Cuban gang. Sunshine Autos, a car dealership, can also be acquired here as a profitable business.
- Little Haiti: Known for its Haitian influence, this area has a distinctive character with smaller shops and residences. Key locations include Auntie Poulet’s House, central to certain missions, and Kaufman Cabs, a business the player can take over.
- Escobar International Airport: Located on the city’s western side, the airport serves as Vice City’s air travel hub, featuring a large runway, hangars, and airport services.
- Fort Baxter Air Base: This military base houses helicopters and other vehicles but is heavily guarded, making access challenging.
- Viceport: A busy industrial and shipping area featuring cargo ships and warehouses. The Boatyard, which the player can buy and use for boat missions, is located here.
Over time, Tommy Vercetti expands his empire here, purchasing properties like the boatyard, a cab depot, ice cream factory, car dealership, and print works.
GTA Vice City Map: Smaller Islands
These are two smaller islands in the game map, located between Vice City Beach and Vice City Mainland:
- Starfish Island: An exclusive, high-end residential area home to the city’s wealthiest citizens. Notable locations include the Diaz Mansion, a property the player can acquire during the storyline.
- Prawn Island: This rundown island features abandoned mansions and a film studio. The InterGlobal Studios, located here, becomes accessible as a business for the player to acquire and develop.
Map Differences Between GTA Vice City & Vice City Stories
In GTA Vice City Stories, players explore a version of Vice City set in 1984, two years prior to GTA Vice City. The city’s geography is largely the same, but there are some changes in city landscapes and landmarks. Here are some of the key differences:
- Building Style: Art-deco structures in Ocean Beach appear altered, with the ones in GTA Vice City resembling Miami buildings more closely. The Colon Hotel, for example, is replaced by an unnamed hotel in Vice City Stories.
- Trailer Park and Sunshine Autos: A populated trailer park near Little Havana in Vice City Stories becomes an empty green space by Vice City. Sunshine Autos operates from an older site before moving to a newer location.
- Fort Baxter Air Base: The Fort Baxter Air Base has a different layout in 1984 than it does in 1986, with more barracks and buildings painted in different colors.
- Empire Building System: A new feature in Vice City Stories, the Empire Building system allows players to acquire and develop businesses across the city. All these empire sites are of course absent from GTA Vice City.
- Notable Absences: Some locations are absent in Vice City Stories, such as the Rockstar-shaped pool and the Washington Mall.
- Under Construction: Key locations are shown under development in Vice City Stories, including the Moist Palms Hotel in Downtown, Ricardo Diaz's mansion on Starfish Island, the Escobar International Airport's V.I.P. terminal, and Washington Beach's construction sites.
- Changed Interiors: Some interiors, like the North Point Mall, display different stores between 1984 and 1986, although a few, like Ammu-Nation and the Vinyl Countdown record store, remain the same.
Also, the Mainland island serves as the initial game area for GTA Vice City Stories, while it is accessible later in GTA Vice City.
