Transform Races are a Race Mode in GTA Online.
This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.41 Smuggler's Run update on October 17, 2017, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
This is a mode that can be played by 1 to 16 players.
Instantly mix vehicle and race types as you switch between land, sea and air in Transform Races, the next evolution of stunt racing in Grand Theft Auto Online. Jump instantly from the curves of a gritty, downtown street race straight into a speeding jet high above Los Santos, then dive face first down Raton Canyon on a jet ski and more.
Transform Races are new and unique stunt tracks that seamlessly transition across land, sea and air, swapping between all available vehicle types on the fly - everything from Supers and Off-Roads - to Boats, Planes, and Helicopters - and even some skydiving thrown in for good measure.
Transform Races feature two new types of checkpoints:
- Transformer checkpoint: this changes the player's vehicle into another type of vehicle, with race courses going through air, land, and water. There are at least 3 transformations during races.
- Warp checkpoint: this will teleport the player to another location when hit.
Transform Races: List of Races
Transform Race - 90°
At times of near-certain death, you can find yourself facing profound questions. Has your life been little more than an endless round of intoxicated consumption? Is driving a Super car down a mile of vertical tarmac the same as just falling out the sky? Is 2000 feet really the time to switch to a motorbike with a jet engine? Yes to all, by the way. Lap Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Oppressor and Besra.
Transform Race - Acropolis Now
Nothing brings out the full elegance of classical architecture better than gasoline spills, tire tracks and smoldering debris. No time to stop and break out the Snapmatic, though. Some asshat is going to drop a flying bike on your head before you can say 'postmodern fusion'. Lap Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Nokota and Oppressor.
Transform Race - Canal Crosser
Sure, you can turbo your hyperbike through jumps, rings, and tubes and make it look easy - but can you deal with the Vespucci canals? Rusting strollers, ex-FIB informants, the flaming wreckage of hovercars and amphibious quads - sometimes the naturally occurring obstacles are the trickiest. Lap Transform Race starting on motorcycles, also featuring the Deluxo, Blazer Aqua and Thruster.
Transform Race - Crossroads
In the land of the free and the home of the ruthless, two things are certain; first, you choose your own route; second, barely anyone is coming out of this alive. Lap Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Mallard, Ruiner 2000, Vestra and Blazer Aqua.
Transform Race - Dam Control
Like any proud citizen of Los Santos, you've seen the shopping carts, dead bodies and rusted pickups filling the Land Act Reservoir, and you think it's a disgrace. This city deserves a better class of refuse in its main water supply, and a few crashed muscle cars, vintage motorbikes and stunt planes would go a long way to raising those standards. Time to show you care. Lap Transform Race starting with the Ruiner 2000, also featuring motorcycles, Havok, Blazer Aqua and Mallard.
Transform Race - Dead Drop
If you think you've experienced the highs and lows of city center finance in Los Santos, think again. Turns out, there's a certain kind of high you need a tactical fighter to achieve. And there's a certain kind of bowl-shredding low you only get when you drop out of the sky in a ton of Super car. Buckle up. Point to point Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Mallard and Besra.
Transform Race - Dockades of Fun
If you're a bored playboy in search of brief physical pleasure and a major health risk, you now have more than one reason to spend an afternoon down at the Los Santos Docklands. Whether your taste is for sumptuous motorbikes, shapely aquatic quads or illegally imported Russian fighters, there's something to tickle your fancy in this lap Transform Race. Starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Blazer Aqua, Molotok and the Trophy Truck.
Transform Race - Evolution
The tech only gets better - but can you keep up? Sure, your old sports classic is manageable. You can probably handle a juiced-up stock car, too. But that vicious little hatchback is going to cause trouble - and as for the hypercar... Yeah, you're not ready. Lap Transform Race starting in Sports Classics, also featuring the Hotring, Comet SR, and Tezeract.
Transform Race - Fairway Drive
Golf in Los Santos is about more than trashing the club house and tipping your caddy with a 9-iron to the knee. Step up to a real sport: your short game might be strong, but how's your drive? Lap Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Ruiner 2000, Caddy, Rocket Voltic, Cliffhanger, Speeder and Havok.
Transform Race - Gauntlet II
There are two kinds of people when it comes to achieving and maintaining high speeds in confined environments. There's the surgically precise fighter pilot, and there's the maniac with his foot on the floor of a Phantom Wedge. This time, you're going to need to be both. Lap Transform Race starting in the Molotok, also featuring Motorcycles, Phantom Wedge and Oppressor.
Transform Race - Get Wrecked
Something about the Los Santos docklands makes for a damn fine shipwreck. But why limit yourself? Super cars, planes and helicopters also make very picturesque seabound detritus. Get creative on this destructive lap Transform Race starting on the Seashark, and also featuring the Shotaro, Super cars, the Mallard and Havok.
Transform Race: Transform - Inferno
Tonight in San Andreas, there's nowhere to hide, but plenty of room to run. Flee in abject terror via air, sea and land in this point to point Transform Race. Starting in the Ultralight, also featuring Super cars, Manchez, Vigilante, Blazer Aqua and your old friend the Beast.
Transform Race - Junk Yard
When the apocalypse finally gets underway in San Andreas, and the world lies in ruins, you can bet there will be some interesting racing opportunities in amongst the wreckage. Get practicing for the big day amid the offshore ruins of this lap Transform Race. Starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Seashark and Mallard.
Transform Race - Looped
Even on a good day, Los Santos can be a disorientating place. On a bad day, you're upside down in a closed loop, you can only see the next three feet of track, and you can't remember if you're driving one of the world's fastest cars or a fixed-wing stunt plane. Gotta love the bad days. Lap Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Mallard.
Transform Race - Maverick
There's something serene, calming, even naturally majestic about the west coast of San Andreas. If it weren't for the procession of superbikes, fighter jets and amphibious quads doing endless climbs, loops and drops, there'd be nothing to recommend it at all. Lap Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Tyrus, Molotok, Seashark and Blazer Aqua.
Transform Race - McKenzie
Blaine County has so much to offer a sightseer from the big city: hills, valleys, rocky coasts, degenerate rural townships and a world-famous diversity of communicable disease. If you want all the highs and lows with none of the itches and nosebleeds, this track is for you. Point to point Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Besra, Blazer Aqua, Zentorno and Trophy Truck.
Transform Race - Mixed-Up
If it's your first day in the big city, this is all the orientation you need: watch as the docklands, airport, business district and Legion Square all bleed into a single migraine-inducing blur. Lap Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Besra, Ramp Buggy and Rocket Voltic.
Transform Race - Neon Mountain
Ever wondered what it would be like to drop a few tabs and race through the title sequence of some vintage 80s sci-fi? Wonder no more with this point to point Transform Race. Starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Besra and Seashark.
Transform Race - Odyssey
It's a long way home to the Alamo Sea. Between you and the finish line, you'll have every conceivable chance to fall out of the sky, sink under the waves, or keep things traditional with a roadside fireball. Bonus points for doing all three at once. Point to point Transformation Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Mallard, Seashark, Havok, Manchez and Ruiner 2000.
Transform Race - Pipes Pipes Pipes
It's a long way home to the Alamo Sea. Between you and the finish line, you'll have every conceivable chance to fall out of the sky, sink under the waves, or keep things traditional with a roadside fireball. Bonus points for doing all three at once. Point to point Transformation Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Mallard, Seashark, Havok, Manchez and Ruiner 2000.
Transform Race - Plane and Simple
Disorientation is a funny thing. You take one too many inverted checkpoints in a fighter jet, and you'd swear you were stuck in a long, winding tunnel dodging rotating fans with absolutely no idea what vehicle you're using. Don't worry, it'll probably clear up soon. Lap Transform Race starting in the Pyro, also featuring Sports Cars, the Avenger and the Rogue.
Transform Race - Plummet III
You might think this is just another fine opportunity to make short work of the stratosphere in a really expensive sports car. And it is - but don't get complacent, because there's a twist or four in the tail of this point to point Transform Race. Starting in Sports cars, also featuring the Besra, Blazer Aqua, Havok, and Akuma.
Transform Race - Separation
Blaine County has so much to offer a sightseer from the big city: hills, valleys, rocky coasts, degenerate rural townships and a world-famous diversity of communicable disease. If you want all the highs and lows with none of the itches and nosebleeds, this track is for you. Point to point Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Besra, Blazer Aqua, Zentorno and Trophy Truck.
Transform Race - Size Matters
There's nothing more exhilarating than threading a jetpack between the apartment blocks of downtown Los Santos. There's nothing more arousing than being at the controls of a delta wing military bomber. And there's nothing more psychologically damaging than rapidly moving between the two. Lap Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Thruster, Tezeract and Volatol.
Transform Race - Slalom
Whether you're weaving through obstacles on two wheels, four wheels or two wings, the fundamental skills are the same: balance, precision, and dodging the flaming wrecks of your former competitors. Lap Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Mallard and XA-21.
Transform Race - Slam Dunk
There's nothing to touch that moment when you line your shot up perfectly, let the pressure slide right off you, and hit nothing but net. Especially when the guy behind you screws it up by a few feet and his flying muscle car explodes on the rim. Point to point Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Ruiner 2000, Besra, Blazer Aqua, Hauler and Whippet.
Transform Race - Snakes and a Plane
Can you survive the Los Santos snake pit? Nope, that's not a euphemism for the dark alley just down the road from Eclipse Towers on a Saturday night. This is the kind of sky-bound snake pit you need a jet trainer and a lot of balls to navigate. Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Buzzard and Besra.
Transform Race - Splash Landing
Like all the best pilots in San Andreas, you're used to seeing the Alamo Sea come crashing through your windshield and into your cockpit. Only this time, if you pitch your nosedive just right, you aren't getting wet. Lap Transform Race starting in Off-roaders, also featuring the Seabreeze, Blazer Aqua, Elegy Retro Custom and Ruiner 2000.
Transform Race - Split Personality
Choices, choices. You've only got a few seconds of hurtling down Mount Chiliad on a BMX to make the age-old decision. Left or Right? With the pack or on your own? Jet-powered super car or gliding motorbike? Luckily for you, this is one of those times when there's no bad call. Lap Transform Race starting on the BMX, also featuring the FMJ, Rocket Voltic, Besra, Oppressor and Parachutes.
Transform Race - Switch Up
When Los Santos narrowly won the "most congested air space" award for the 10th year running, they only took into account industrial and commercial traffic. If you add in private hires, blimps, airborne motorbikes and choppers navigating mid-air obstacles courses, there's not a city in the world to touch it. Lap Transform Race starting in Sports cars, also featuring the Havok, Besra, Rocket Voltic, Oppressor and Nokota.
Transform Race - The Dragon
What could be more appropriate for a diverse and cosmopolitan city like Los Santos than a race track in honor of the Chinese year of the Giant-Dragon-with-a-Fighter-Jet-in-its-Mouth? Lap Transform Race starting in Compacts, also featuring the Faggio Sport, Molotok and Vagner.
Transform Race - The Grotti Circuit
This fiery hurricane of jetpacks, flying cars and vintage classics raging through the heart of Los Santos is brought to you by Grotti, the Italian supercar manufacturer with a low threshold for bad publicity. Even the flaming wreckage is green, white, and red. Lap Transform Race starting in Super Cars, also featuring the Issi Classic, Thruster and Deluxo.
Transform Race - Trench IV
There's only one thing more claustrophobic than driving a fast car between high walls that are actually closing in on you, and that's flying a single-prop fighter between high walls that are actually closing in on you. Take those rapidly confining spaces out to sea, and it's time for that nervous breakdown you've been working on. Lap Transform Race starting in Sports cars, also featuring the Rocket Voltic, Nokota and Blazer Aqua.
Transform Race - Tug Life
It's a rule as old as high-speed racing itself: never fall out of the sky in a rusty tug boat on a full stomach. Or something like that - it doesn't really matter, because you're definitely doing it. Lap Transform Race starting in Super Cars, also featuing the Tug, Blazer Aqua and Dodo.
Transform Race - Twister
The few survivors of this track compare it to driving a hypercar up and down the funnel of a tornado in preparation for some technical land, sea and air maneuvers. They also strongly recommend skipping breakfast. Lap Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Molotok and Dinghy.
Transform Race - Twister II
There was a time when if you asked any civilized person whether they fancied a high-speed corkscrew hundreds of feet above the Pacific, they would do the decent thing and assume you were hoping to join the mile high club. These days you're not even talking about a plane. Lap Transform Race starting in Super Cars, also featuring the Hydra and Toro.
Transform Race - Vinewood Thrills
You know you've made it in Los Santos high society when you can spend the morning cruising under the Vinewood sign, and the afternoon supping cocktails on your antique sailboat off the east coast. And you know you've really made it when you can do both of those things inside a 5 minute lap with an executive chopper and a supercar joining the dots. Lap Transform Race starting on Motorcycles, also featuring the Swift, Marquis, Seabreeze and Vagner.
Transform Race - Warped
Last thing you knew, you were joining the solo mile high club in a freefalling Super car above the business district. You blink, and you're piloting a jet fighter straight into a wall. Blink again, and you're not quite sure if this is a rocket-powered Super car or a flimsy ultralight. Either you're on one hell of a come down, or the fun's just getting started. Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Molotok, Rocket Voltic, Ultralight and Parachutes.
Transform Race - Home Run
You haven't thrown a real San Andreas no-hitter until you've taken five vehicles through the land, sea and airspace of this Blaine County track without crashing, drowning or blacking out even once. Good luck. Lap Transform Race starting in Super cars, also featuring the Vortex, Mallard, Seashark and Havok.
