Impromptu Races are a series of Freemode Missions, Race Mode in GTA Online.
This is a mode that can be played by 2 to 16 players.
Get ready for a spontaneous and thrilling racing experience in GTA's Free Mode with Impromptu Races. Unlike traditional races, these events can be triggered at any moment during Free Mode, bypassing the need for a lobby. Challenge other players to a race to any chosen point on the map with minimal setup.
Race anywhere in San Andreas by challenging nearby players to an Impromptu Race - just set a custom Waypoint or use a Quick GPS location and issue a challenge. You can find Impromptu Races in the Interaction Menu.
In GTA Online, Impromptu Races allow players to initiate single-waypoint races directly from Free Mode, without the need of a lobby.
The players that accept a host's invitation will use the vehicle they're already in to race, and no fixed path exists - the first who arrives at the destination waypoint wins the cash bet.
There's an entry fee paid by each player that forms the reward pool for the winner. The minimum fee to participate is $50 and increases with the distance to the finishing point.
