Joseph Daniel O'Toole is an associate of the Sindacco Family and manager of Paulie's Revue Bar.
At some point, JD begins to work for the Leone Family and employs Toni Cipriani on different tasks, but also informs him of Sindacco attacks in order to protect Salvatore and the Leone Family's assets.

Despite his assistance, Salvatore cannot trust O'Toole and tasks Mickey Hamfists to kill him before his "making" ceremony, claiming that his betrayal of the Sindaccos could lead to a similar betrayal of the Leones in the future.
