Races and Time Trials

In Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, the player can access several Street Races and Time Trials, by accessing different locations throughout Liberty City.

GTA Chinatown Wars - Street Races

How to start: Can be accessed through one of three locations where street races are hosted.

In GTA Chinatown Wars, the player can compete in street races by bringing a sports car to one of three locations in Liberty City: the Hi-Way Tie Tourney (Beechwood City, Dukes), the S&M Grand Slam (Chase Point, Bohan), and the Transfender Invitational (Westminster, Algonquin).

In total, there are 8 races where the player competes against 3 opponents. Completing each race in at least third place is required for 100% completion of the game.

How to start: Found at different locations throughout the map

Rewards: Various cash rewards

There are two types of Time Trial challenges in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars - Circuit Time Trials and Sprint Time Trials. In both cases, Huang has to pass through checkpoints in a time limit to win a cash prize.

Earning at least a bronze medal in all time trials is required for 100% completion of the game.

Circuit Time Trials

In the circuit time trials, Huang has to complete multiple laps of a track in order to win the event. There are a total of 19 time trials of this type that must be completed.

Boulevard Boogie TT
- Accessible by getting on the Sanchez parked south of Welham Parkway Bohan.
- 4 time trials to complete, with 2 laps each.
Dukes Dust Up TT
- Accessible by getting in the Sultan parked in the middle of Meadows Park, Dukes.
- 3 time trials to complete, with 2 laps each.

Go-Kar-TT
- Accessible by getting on the Go Kart parked south of Hove Beach, Broker.
- 4 time trials to complete, with 3 laps each.

Patriot Park TT
- Accessible by getting in the Patriot parked in the middle of Middle Park, Algonquin
- 4 time trials to complete, with 2 laps each.

Wetscapade TT
- Accessible by getting on the Wet Ski docked at Lancet, south of the Algonquin Bridge.
- 4 time trials to complete, with 2 laps each.

Sprint Time Trials

In the circuit time trials, Huang has to complete a track in order to win the event. There are a total of 11 time trials of this type that must be completed.

Beach Blitz - Accessible in Beach Gate, Broker, by getting in the Sabre GT.
Bohan Snake - Accessible in Industrial, Bohan, by getting in the Hellenbach.
East Side Escapade - Accessible in East Holland, Algonquin, by getting in the Banshee.
Graveyard Groove - Accessible in Steinway, Dukes, by getting in the Hearse.
Loose Exchange - Accessible in Castle Gardens, Algonquin, by getting in the Cavacade FXT.
Midtown Mayhem - Accessible in The Meat Quarter, Algonquin, by getting in the Sultan.
Monument Mania - Accessible in Outlook Park, Broker, by getting on the Angel.
Comet's Tail (PSP) - Accessible in Nothern Gardens, Bohan, by getting in the Comet.
Dock Front Dash (PSP) - Accessible in East Hook Baym Broker, by getting in the Turismo.
Highway Heat (PSP) - Accessible in North Holland, Algonquin, by getting on the Angel.
