The Riding Shotgun Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars side mission is a mission similar to the Rampage! side mission, requiring the player to take out waves of enemies while riding with a triad passenger.

There are 5 Riding Shotgun missions available to start throughout Liberty City, with an extra 3 more on the PSP version of GTA Chinatown Wars. The missions can be accessed by entering a parked Cavalcade FXT or Bobcat found at specific locations on the map.

The player is required to destroy gang vehicles, particularily a leader's Burrito to complete the mission, and all of the available Riding Shotgun missions are required for 100% completion of the game. Destroying enemies earns the player points, and a specific number of points are required for either a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal, namely:

• 400 points for a Bronze Medal
• 750 points for a Silver Medal
• 1,250 points for a Gold Medal
