Franklin And Lamar's Short Trips

Franklin And Lamar's Short Trips are a series of Contact Missions in GTA Online, given by Lamar Davis and Franklin Clinton .

This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.58 The Contract update on December 15, 2021, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a Co-Op mode that can be played by 2 Players.

It’s been quite some time since Franklin Clinton and his notorious accomplices knocked over the biggest targets in Southern San Andreas. Since then, Franklin’s put down roots in Los Santos — getting married, starting a family, and even wearing a suit to work. Meanwhile, Lamar just got high. But now it’s LD’s time to come up, and he’s laying the groundwork for a legit, above-board business of his own, if he can just pull it together...

These are special missions in which two GTA Online players temporarily take control of Franklin Clinton and Lamar Davis.

The first Short Trip mission is initiated by visiting the "Record A Studios" where the players will sit down with DJ Pooh, Franklin, and Lamar to smoke LD Organics weed. The players pass out and have an "out-of-body experience", putting them in control of Franklin and Lamar.

The second and third trips and subsequent trip replays are initiated by the host entering the studio and using the green Corona outside the smoking room.

These missions initially became available after completing The Contract: Dr. Dre as Leader, however they've later been made available to all players from the Pause Menu as regular Contact Missions.

Short Trip - Seed Capital

Location: Record A Studios, Chamberlain Hills, Downtown Vinewood,

Franklin and Lamar, equipped with pistols and SMGs, battle the Vagos at a warehouse to reclaim Lamar's hijacked weed supply. They track down the stolen delivery truck, sneak aboard, but end up in a firefight when their presence is detected. Escaping amidst gunfire, they return to the truck, hoping to salvage what’s left. However, the truck explodes from damage taken during the escape, resulting in a total loss of the weed and ending the mission in frustration.

Short Trip - Fire It Up

Location: Record A Studios, Blaine County, The Clintons House,

Franklin and Lamar, motivated by revenge, attack Vagos' weed warehouses in Blaine County, choosing between stealth or aggressive tactics to complete their mission. They navigate through attacks by Vagos in various custom vehicles and a helicopter, eventually burning the weed with fertilizer and escaping in a Vagos' van. The day ends with Franklin refusing Lamar entry to his house to keep the smell of burned cannabis away from his family.

Short Trip - OG Kush

Location: Record A Studios, Redwood Lights Track, Tequi-la-la,

Lamar shows Franklin his new bioplastic delivery van, and they go to meet with celebrity Jimmy Boston for a potential endorsement deal, but conflict arises over branding. The situation escalates when Vagos, alerted by Lamar's accidental location post, attack during the meeting; Franklin and Lamar fend them off while the van burns, creating unexpected public exposure for LD Organics. As they leverage the accident for publicity beside a popular club, the event concludes with the community enjoying the effects of the burning van, despite the initial chaos.
