The Obey Tailgater is a Sedans Car featured in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online.

This vehicle also appears in Grand Theft Auto VI.

How to get the Tailgater in GTA 5 Story Mode:

In GTA V Story Mode, the Tailgater can only be found and stolen (see the spawn locations in the "Appearances" section below). It is not available for purchase.

A black Tailgater is the personal vehicle for protagonist Michael De Santa in GTA V. It will therefore stay with you throughout the whole Story Mode.

How to get the Tailgater in GTA Online:

The Tailgater can be simply found and stolen on the street (see the spawn locations in the "Appearances" section below), or it can be purchased for a price of $55,000.

The Tailgater can be stored in any of your Properties/Garages as a Personal Vehicle. It can be customized at Los Santos Customs. You can also modify it in a Vehicle Workshop inside one of your owned properties.

Once acquired, you can request the delivery of the Tailgater from the Mechanic.

NB: The Tailgater has been removed from the purchasable list of vehicles on June 13, 2023 - but it can still be stolen off the street.

The Tailgater is also one of the "wanted" vehicles that can be required for the Simeon's Export Requests freemode mission, giving you a reward of $8,250 when delivered to his garage.

Obey Tailgater in Real Life:

The design of the Obey Tailgater is based on a real life Audi A6.

Obey Tailgater Top Speed:

The actual top speed of the Tailgater in GTA V is 104.75 mph (168.58 km/h) when it's fully upgraded, as it's been accurately tested in-game by Broughy1322.

Can you sell the Tailgater in GTA Online?

Yes, it's possible to sell the Tailgater. If you purchased the vehicle, you can sell it for a resale price of $33,000 (60% of the original purchase), plus 50% of the value of your upgrades. Otherwise, if you stole the Tailgater from the street, you can sell it for $5,500.

Luxury German Sedan. Better than a BF, but not quite a Benefactor. Fast and practical with a classy look, this is just the car to over-leverage on.
