KnoWay Out

Avi sends the location of the KnoWay Depot to the player, who must obtain remote control of a taxi and produce chaos around the city to destroy the company's reputation.

The player must first enter the depot through the rear garage door while on foot. They must take out the guards and enter a KnoWay test pod to obtain control of a KnoWay Vivanite. An objective list appears on the HUD, presenting three random objectives out of the following: Knocking over traffic signals, maintaining high speed for a period of time, reaching a specified height through stunts and jumps, and hitting pedestrians.

After these objectives are completed, the player is given the location of a number of taxis and billboards that must be destroyed. Destroying all taxis and billboards while remotely controlling the taxi awards an extra $10,000 bonus.

After the player destroys the vehicle, they must escape the depot and the police before receiving their payment from Avi's Felon GT parked on Elysian Island. 

After Avi finds out that KnoWay has hired goons to sabotage other taxi companies, he enlists the player as a KnoWay goon in order to obtain trust and find the location of KnoWay's hard drives.

The player meets a KnoWay contact and helps him destroy taxis from a Downtown Cab Co. depot by holding up the staff and planting an explosive under one of the vehicles. Afterwards, the player must lose their wanted level and meet an FIB agent, through which they learn that the data center is in Cypress Flats and is heavily secured by KnoWay mercenaries.

The FIB agent receives a phone call, informing them that the player is an infiltrator, and so the player must fight their way out of the hideout and head to the data center. If the player finds the FIB tech while inside the hideout, they receive an additional $10,000 bonus. At the data center, the player takes out many guards and steals three hard drives containing sensitive data before encountering the KnoWay contact in a weaponized Menacer. After they escape the ambush, the player delivers the hard drives to Avi's Felon GT to complete the mission.

Through the previously stolen data, Avi finds out that KnoWay is planning to expand their operations to the subway system and tasks the player with stealing the information owned by the KnoWay head engineer, who is performing tests in the subway system.

The player goes down to the LSIA Terminal 4 Station, which is guarded by KnoWay mercenaries, and boards the self-driving metro arriving in the station. They hack the controls by completing a hacking mini-game and offering Avi remote control of the train.

Avi uses the train to block the subway and force the engineer's train to stop, so that the player can kill the engineer and his bodyguards and steal the briefcase.

Many mercenaries will invade the subway on foot and on Powersurges, and the player can either take a Powersurge left by Avi or hack the train to reach the next station, before fighting their way out of the metro and escaping with a parked Omnis e-GT. In the tunnel, the player can find and steal an ECU for a $10,000 bonus.

After escaping the pursuing mercenaries, the player delivers the briefcase to Avi's Felon GT to complete the mission.

Avi finds out that more information on KnoWay's plans is stored only on physical documents, which are stored in trash bags marked "confidential" for the FIB to collect. The player must disguise themselves as a trash collector and retrieve them undetected.

The player puts on a Refuse Collector's outfit and steals a Trashmaster before heading to three different KnoWay offices, from each one having to steal 2 bags. The player may either collect the documents undetected by distracting the guards or by killing everyone and escaping the pursuing agents.

On the way to the second office, Avi tells the player that the real trashmen are heading to the office, so they must be stopped before arriving to avoid alerting the KnoWay guards.

At the third office, the confidential documents are not yet placed in the bags and are still inside the office, so the player must collect the real trash bags, wait for the supervisor to leave the office entrance, and then hack the keypad through a minigame to access the office interior to steal the documents.

After leaving the last office, Avi tells the player that the FIB has loaded more important documents in a van, so the player must find it and damage it or kill the drivers to retrieve the documents.

After escaping a four-star wanted level, the player delivers the truck to Elysian Island to complete the mission. If all trash bags are collected, an additional $10,000 bonus is received.

Avi and the player have everything they need in order to steal and wipe out KnoWay's surveillance data.

The player must get busted on purpose to be sent to an FIB interrogation room. After failing to get information, the agent interrogating the player leaves for a break. The player collects the pen on the table to open the keypad, and reads the instruction manual in order to find the "unlock" wire and cut it, opening the locked door.

After retrieving their confiscated weapons and items, the player uses the hacking device provided by Avi to destroy the KnoWay data by completing a hacking minigame. Then, the alarm is triggered, and the player must escape to the roof of the building, where a Swift helicopter is waiting to help them escape.

On the roof, the player finds the pilot's dead body, so they must fly the helicopter themselves. Through a scripted event, the helicopter is shot down by a Buzzard Attack Chopper, and the player wakes up on a beach in the Palomino Highlands. With several FIB agents waiting nearby, the player must escape on Seasharks to Avi's tug boat, fighting through armed agents and attack helicopters.

Reaching the tugboat completes the mission strand and awards the player and associates with money and RP, with increased rewards based on the elite challenges completed. 

After the player is introduced to Michael and Amanda de Santa, and after completing KnoWay Out, the player receives a Job Invite by Avi Schwartzman, informing them that Avi has something very important to discuss but may only do it face to face. He provides the player with the location of a Speedo and asks the player to meet him there.

In reality, the voice the player hears is AI-generated, and the meeting with Avi is a KnoWay ambush, the Speedo being armed with a bomb. The real Avi calls the player and informs him that KnoWay managed to track them down, after which the phone call gets interrupted. The Prix Luxury AI Concierge calls the player, informing them that mercenaries are at their mansion.

Once the player gets to the mansion, they find heavily armed mercenaries clashing with the mansion's security. As the player descends to the mansion's vault, a mercenary incapacitates the player and calls for backup, but Michael de Santa bursts into the room and rescues the player. 

The duo fights their way back up to the mansion, and Michael tells the player that helicopters and backup are heading towards the mansion. The AI Concierge initiates an emergency lockdown, sealing Michael and the player inside the mansion with the mercenaries. 

Unable to reset the AI system, Michael smashes the display with a chair, successfully rebooting the system and lifting the lockdown. As they then exit the mansion, Michael's special ability activates, allowing the player to use it to their advantage. After clearing out more air support, a Menacer, and more mercenaries, successfully clearing out the attack, the pair re-enter the mansion and celebrate their victory with a champagne. Michael leaves, and the mission is completed.

Completing the mission awards the player $500,000 through the Home Sweet Home award.
