*UPDATE* GTA Online Mansions DLC 1.72 Patch Notes & Cars (A Safehouse in the Hills)

The GTA Online December 2025 Update, called "A Safehouse in the Hills", has been released on December 10, 2025, adding one of the luxury features that has been requested by players for years: Mansions.

Not only that, the update also marks the long-awaited arrival of Michael De Santa in GTA Online!

Plus, cruise the streets in a fleet of new upscale vehicles that complement your new palace, disrupt plans for an autonomous surveillance state in a set of exciting new missions, or create your own adventures with the new Rockstar Mission Creator, and so much more.

GTA Online "A Safehouse In The Hills": Mansions Features

Players can purchase three customizable Mansion Properties from the new Prix Luxury Real Estate in-game website, providing access to exclusive features.

More than just a personal monument to your criminal accomplishments, a mansion features sprawling outdoor spaces and meticulously designed interiors with a state-of-the-art AI Assistant to aid with professional and personal tasks that maximize your potential. 

Prix Luxury Real Estate properties come endowed with a full package of special accommodations, including ostentatious Trophy Cabinets, a private Salon, animal Kennels for your domesticated companions, and a new elegant and artfully lit Garage… just to name a few. 

For those not content to rest on their luxurious laurels, there are also enhancements to help protect and expand your bottom line, including a Master Control Terminal and Production Boosts for your businesses (compliments of your new virtual assistant) and an optional Private Security detail. 

You can also flaunt your status even further with an indoor Car Podium or get down to business with an Armory or Vehicle Workshop within the property’s grounds - a sampling of the optional premium upgrades available to Prix Luxury clients.

GTA Online Mansions DLC: Locations & Prices

For your mansion, you are able to choose from three distinct luxury locations in Los Santos’ most exclusive neighborhoods. You can buy all three mansions at once - you don't have to choose just one mansion.

Withdraw to the Tongva Hills and its stellar views of the Pacific Ocean, thrive amongst the city's elite in Richman, or bask in the alluring glow of the Vinewood sign.

As expected, Mansions are the most expensive properties GTA Online has ever offered, with a base price ranging from $11,500,000 to $12,800,000.

When all customizations and upgrades are purchased, the full cost of a Mansion becomes over $17,500,000.

GTA Online "A Safehouse In The Hills": New Vehicles

As we have come to expect with all GTA Online Updates, several new cars and vehicles have been added with the December 2025 DLC, with some introduced at launch on December 10, and more to be released in the subsequent months.

GTA Online "A Safehouse In The Hills": New Jobs / Missions

KnoWay Out

Avi Schwartzman might be paranoid, but it looks like he’s genuinely onto something this time. Self-driving vehicle start-up KnoWay is using a fleet of autonomous SUVs to build a shadowy surveillance network. Help Avi put a stop to it by any means necessary in KnoWay Out. 

• Players will be contacted by Avi Schwartzman, who has information on the new self-driving taxi company, KnoWay
• Owning one of the Prix Luxury properties is not required for KnoWay Out, just visit the payphone in Little Seoul to get started. Having a mansion will raise the stakes, however, and give you something worth defending. 
• These five new Story Missions come with new Awards as well as Career Progress Challenges
  • Career Progress challenges can be completed on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced on PC
• The new Story Missions can be played with 1-4 players

Getaway Driver Random Event

Players can aid in a robbery in progress to earn GTA$ and RP.

Dripfeed Content

GTA December Update 2025: Experience Improvements

Several changes have been made to GTA Online as part of this update:

• Four new actions/emotes have been added that players can perform via the Interaction Menu or Quickplay Action button prompt.
  • Tactical Salute
  • Baton Twirl
  • Wasn’t Me
  • Flash Badge
• Vehicle websites now have a tab displaying some of the most popular vehicles from previous updates
• Odd Jobs are now represented with cyan blips in Freemode
• The map blip options for Odd Jobs have been consolidated to allow all of them to be hidden/shown at once
• Patrick McReary is now available by default to all players for use as a Gunman in the Casino Heist, and his associated Random Event has been removed
• Gustavo Mota's cut as a gunman has been lowered to 8% for Casino Heists
• Players will now receive GTA$500 in addition to existing RP for rating content
• The button prompt for exiting an active Creator test has been updated to make it more difficult to exit accidentally
• When using the Override Rotation in Creators, the ‘Alignment’ setting ‘World’ has been renamed to ‘Free Rotation’ in line with the new Mission Creator

Mission Creator

Players can now create and publish their own missions in the new Rockstar Mission Creator.

• This in-depth and comprehensive toolkit enables you to design and publish your own Missions using sophisticated game mechanics, custom objectives, placeable actors, and much more.
• A set of five example Missions can be played and edited inside the Creator to provide examples of how different mission types are achieved

GTA+ Updates

The Vinewood Club App can now remotely Manage Staff Members of owned properties to send them on jobs:

• Hangar
• Warehouses
• Bail Office

GTA+ Members who own a mansion with the Vehicle Workshop upgrade can make use of the same exclusive mod options granted inside The Vinewood Club Garage:

• Hao’s Special Works (HSW)
• Benny’s Original Motor Works
• Drift Tuning

GTA Online Mansions DLC: "Prologue" Missions

Before the full Mansions DLC landed, on November 13, Rockstar released a mini set of 3 contact missions for the Prix Luxury Real Estate Company:

• New Listings - Due Diligence
• New Listings - Fixes & Fittings
• New Listings - Hard Deadlines

Completing all 3 missions by December 7 awarded you with Gold Tier Rewards: a GTA$2,000,000 discount for any Mansion purchase, a GTA$1,000,000 cash bonus, and a Black Rockstar Varsity Crewneck Sweater.

Rockstar also prepared visual teasers across Los Santos, showing construction zones at two new mansion development sites in East Vinewood Hills, and in West Vinewood near Miguel Madrazo's house. Also, gameplay dialogue strongly suggested that Devon Weston’s mansion, seen prominently in GTA V’s storyline, would become one of the purchasable properties.
