Firefighter

Firefighter is a series of Freemode Missions, Odd Jobs in GTA Online.

This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.72 A Safehouse In The Hills update on January 29, 2026, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a Solo mode that can be played by each GTA Online player individually.

A similar Firefighter activity is also present in GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City and GTA 3.

Get busy battling blazes, neutralizing gas leaks, and even rescuing stranded felines around the city as a Firefighter. The faster you answer dispatch, the bigger your payday.

The player receives a text message from the Los Santos Fire Department looking for volunteers. The player may perform firefighter tasks in this side mission by going to the El Burro Heights Fire Station or while inside any Fire Truck or player-owned RCV.

In this job, there are seven different scenarios that may occur, and the player can complete up to five jobs in a row at a time before a short cooldown starts.

Firefighter: Mission Scenarios

Burning Oil Tanker

We have an incident involving an oil tanker with calls for an emergency response to repress all flames. Coordinates are with you now.

The player must rush to a burning oil tanker and extinguish it. There are 5 possible spawn locations for this scenario.

Burning Vehicle

We have an outdoor fire, one car fully involved, potential spread. We need that fire knocked down. Sending coordinates.

The player must rush to a burning vehicle and extinguish it. There are 10 possible spawn locations for this scenario.

Dumpster Fire

Okay, looks like a classic dumpster fire. Please investigate, and ensure all hot spots are cooled. Sending coordinates now.

The player must go to a burning trash container and extinguish it. There are 5 possible spawn locations for this scenario.

Burning Building

We have a residential building in need of investigation. It is not yet known whether the structure is occupied, please attend at this location.

The player must rush to a burning building and extinguish it. There are 3 possible spawn locations for this scenario.

Rescue Operation

El Burro 15, we've had a confirmation. A resident is in the building. This is now a rescue operation. I repeat, this is now a rescue operation.

The player must rush to a burning building, extinguish it, and then rescue the civilian from inside. There are 7 possible spawn locations for this scenario.

Gas Leak

We have had reports of a gas leak at the following location. Be aware there is potential for exposure, so special equipment may be required.

The player must go to a location where a gas leak has been produced, and find the way to shut it off. There are 10 possible spawn locations for this scenario.
