GTA Online Summer 2026 DLC Update 1.73: Release Date & Leaks

The GTA Online Summer 2026 Update, which official name is not known yet, is coming soon to GTA Online, most likely on July 14, 2026, in what could be the final DLC of the game before the imminent release of Grand Theft Auto VI.

While the full content of the update is still unconfirmed, Rockstar Games has previously teased the continuation of the Mansions DLC, and of course, we can expect a mix of new activities, cars, and additional content.

When is the GTA Update Coming? Summer DLC Release Date

Going by the current in-game bonuses and GTA+ benefits scheduled, the expected Release Date for the GTA Online Summer Update is Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

The official release date for Update 1.73 has not been confirmed by Rockstar Games yet, but July 14 is very likely going to be the date. We'll update this page as soon as the official release date is confirmed.

The 1.73 Title Update will come to GTA Online for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will also still release on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

GTA Summer Update 2026: The Final DLC Storyline?

With the release of Grand Theft Auto VI approaching, the Summer 2026 DLC is likely going to be the final GTA Online update - at least when it comes to storyline content.

We can hope to expect a proper send-off to the storyline revolving around our GTA Online player, which will likely feature Mr. Faber as an antagonist, as it was teased in the previous Mansions DLC.

It would definitely be cool to see Michael, Franklin, and maybe even Trevor, all make a final cameo and return to the game's storyline, to celebrate and say goodbye to 13 years of GTA Online.

GTA Summer Update 2026: Experience Improvements

Building off the adjustments made with the previous Title Updates, based on player feedback, this Summer’s GTA Online update will also add a range of experience improvements.

GTA Summer Update 2026: New Vehicles

As we have come to expect with all GTA Online Updates, we can look for several new cars and vehicles to be added with the Summer 2026 DLC, with some introduced at launch on July 14, and more to be released in the subsequent months.

After the PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Update introduced the new Hao's Special Works Auto Shop, we could also expect more cars to be made eligible for the HSW Upgrades.

GTA Summer Update 2026: GTA 6 Teasers

The Summer DLC will likely bring to GTA Online several teasers and challenges related to Grand Theft Auto VI, which Rockstar will gradually enable in the months leading up to the release of the long-awaited next chapter of the GTA series.

This would be similar to what happened in 2018 before the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, when Rockstar introduced to GTA Online a Treasure Hunt and a Bounty Hunter challenge, which upon completion, unlocked the Double-Action Revolver and Stone Hatchet in RDR2.
