Deadline Duet

Deadline Duet is an Adversary Mode in GTA Online.

This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.72 A Safehouse In The Hills update on February 5, 2026, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a Team PVP mode that can be played by 2 Teams, for a total of 4 players.

Nothing says love quite like a high-octane, high-mortality death race soaked in neon and criss-crossed with explosive energy trails. Double your chances and partner up with a special someone in this expanded team version of the classic Adversary Mode.

Deadline Duet is a team variant of the Deadline Adversary Mode. In this gamemode, players are set on differently colored Shotaros, which leave an energy trail as they ride. If a player passes through an enemy player's energy trail, passes through their own energy trail, or forces the bike to stop, they instantly explode and lose one life. Additionally, falling out of the arena makes a player lose one life.

In this variant, the player's bike will not explode if they touch their team-mate's energy trail.

If the time runs out, the winner is the player who has the most remaining lives. If the winner cannot be decided, a sudden death round is activated, forcing the players to stay within a small area - whoever leaves the area is eliminated.

Deadline Duet: Power-Ups

In Deadline Duet, players can pick up Power-Ups that give them abilities, enhancing the destruction and dynamicity of the gamemode

Boost: The player's bike receives a speed boost, allowing them to block the rival player's path more quickly.
Zoned: Allows the player to slow down time, allowing them better control over their bikes. This power-up lasts for five seconds.
Hop: Gives the player's bike the ability to jump, allowing them to avoid enemy energy trails.
