Tow Truck Service

Tow Truck Service is a series of Freemode Missions in GTA Online, given by Jamal Amir and associated to the Salvage Yards property.

This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.68 The Chop Shop update on December 12, 2023, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a Solo mode that can be played by each GTA Online player individually.

Upgrade the yard with a Tow Truck, allowing you to tow designated delinquent vehicles back to the Salvage Yard for another source of auto parts.

Tow Truck Service: How To Unlock

To be able to perform service operations, the player must own a Salvage Yard with either of the Tow Truck options purchased. Entering the Tow Truck in the Salvage Yard and selecting the service option from the menu will then start the mission.

Tow Truck Service: Objectives

When playing the mission, the player will be tasked with recovering broken down or abandoned cars and bringing them back to the yard to be salvaged for parts.

Occasionally, the player will meet hostile vehicle owners or obtain wanted levels while retrieving the vehicles - these must be evaded before delivering the cars.

Tow Truck Service: Rewards

After the player delivers a vehicle, it will take two in-game days (or 96 real-life minutes) for the car to be salvaged. Depending on the car stolen, the player may receive different payouts, in the range of $30,000-$40,000.

Additionally, purchasing the Staff Upgrade for the Salvage Yard will cut the time down to 48 minutes, or a single in-game day.

The time taken for a vehicle to be salvaged after delivery depends on whether or not the player has purchased the Staff upgrade for the Salvage Yard; without this upgrade, each vehicle will take 96 minutes to be salvaged, or two in-game days. However, the Staff upgrade will cut that time in half down to 48 minutes, or a single in-game day. The player does not have to be playing GTA Online for the salvage to progress, and will be paid as soon as they log on next.
