In GTA V Story Mode, the Tow Truck (Large) can only be found and stolen (see the spawn locations in the "Appearances" section below). It is not available for purchase.
How to get the Tow Truck (Large) in GTA Online:
The Tow Truck (Large) can be purchased in GTA Online from for a price of $1,100,000.
The Tow Truck (Large) can be stored in the Salvage Yard. It can only be resprayed and cannot be further modified.
However, the Tow Truck (Large) cannot be used in standard races.
Previously not obtainable in GTA Online, the Tow Truck has now become available as an upgrade for the Salvage Yard property, added to the game with 'The Chop Shop' Update in December 2023.
It can be acquired in a clean variant for $1,100,000, or in a Beater Variant for $650,000.
However, it can only be used during the Salvage Yard missions, and it can only hook the mission-specific vehicles. It cannot be used in Freeroam.
