The Cargo Ship Robbery is a Robbery Contract in GTA Online, given by Jamal Amir and associated to the Salvage Yards property.
This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.68 The Chop Shop update on December 12, 2023, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
This is a Solo or Co-Op mode that can be played by 1 to 4 Players.
Board a cargo ship and extract a cargo container containing a valuable car.
The robbery can be selected if it is one of the three available contracts on the Facade Planner app on the Salvage Yard computer.
[[article:title]], like the other Salvage Yard Robberies, consists of seven Free Mode preparation missions and one finale. The target vehicle is always different on each replay of the robbery.
The Cargo Ship Robbery: Missions List
Scope Out: Docks
The player must scope out the docks by taking pictures of the transport manifest and images of the cargo ship.
Location: Elysian Island, Los Santos
Target: Docked cargo ship
Objectives:
- Go to Elysian Island.
- Scope out the docks.
- Send the photograph to Jamal.
- Return to the Salvage Yard.
Planning Work: Disrupt Air Support (Optional)
The player goes to the house of one of the defense pilots and finds information on several other helicopters that would protect the cargo ship. The player destroys them.
Location: House in Sandy Shores
Target: Taking out several Mavericks that would defend the cargo ship.
Objectives:
- Go to Sandy Shores.
- Break into the pilot's apartment.
- Eliminate the pilot.
- Access the computer
- Exit the apartment.
- Destroy the Mavericks.
Task: Bolt Cutters
The player steals some bolt cutters from Blaine County in preparation for the robbery.
Target: Bolt Cutters
Objectives:
- Search the site for bolt cutters.
- Steal the bolt cutters.
- Deliver the bolt cutters to the Salvage Yard.
- Lose the cops.
Task: Flares
The player steals flares from a lifeguard post in Los Santos
Location: Los Santos Lifeguard Station
Target: Flares
Objectives:
- Search the lifeguard station for flares.
- Deliver the flares to the salvage yard.
- Lose the cops.
Task: Boat
The player breaks into a storage facility to steal a boat for the robbery.
Objectives:
- Break into the storage facility.
- Steal a boat
- Exit the storage facility.
- Deliver the boat to the Salvage Yard.
Task: Masks (Optional)
Similar to GTA Story Mode heists, the player can choose to buy masks for a better disguise.
Location: Mask Store in Los Santos

- Buy a mask.
Planning Work: Skylift
A skylift needs to be used during the robbery to steal the vehicle - the player steals one from Merryweather.
Location: Fort Zancudo

Planning Work: Sabotage and Disguise
The player must sabotage documents held by the LSPA in order to facilitate their robbery of the cargo. They break into the LSPA office and plan explosives.
Location: LSPA office, Del Perro Pier, Los Santos
Target: LSPA documents and outfits
Objectives:
- Go to Del Perro Pier.
- Break into the LSPA office.
- Hack the LSPA database.
- Plant the explosives.
- Locate the Coast Guard outfit.
- Collect the Coast Guard Outfit.
- Exit the office.
- Detonate the explsoives.
- Deliver the outfits to the Salvage Yard.
- Lose the cops.
The Cargo Ship Robbery: Finale
The player goes to the cargo ship out on sea and prepares the robbery of the target vehicle. A pilot arrives with the Skylift and picks it up to store securely and the salvage yard.

- Go to Elysian Island.
- Enter the boat
- Go out to sea.
- Climb aboard the La'oub Princess.
- Sneak to the bridge.
- Enter the bridge.
- Take out the captain.
- Search the captain.
- Access the bridge terminal.
- Cut open the containers.
- Protect the Skylift
- Deliver the car to the salvage yard.
