The Cargo Ship Robbery

The Cargo Ship Robbery is a Robbery Contract in GTA Online, given by Jamal Amir and associated to the Salvage Yards property.

This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.68 The Chop Shop update on December 12, 2023, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a Solo or Co-Op mode that can be played by 1 to 4 players.

Board a cargo ship and extract a cargo container containing a valuable car.

The robbery can be selected if it is one of the three available contracts on the Facade Planner app on the Salvage Yard computer.

The Cargo Ship Robbery, like the other Salvage Yard Robberies, consists of seven Free Mode preparation missions and one finale. The target vehicle is always different on each replay of the robbery.

Jamal Amir tells the player that Yusuf is interested in a luxury car being shipped to one of his rich relatives on his cargo ship. The vehicle was previously owned by movie producer Solomon Richards. Now, the player must plan and perform their infiltration on the cargo ship.

Scope Out: Docks

Identify and photograph points of interest that will help plan how to steal the target vehicle in The Cargo Ship Robbery.

Location: Elysian Island, Los Santos

Target: Docked cargo ship

Objectives:

Go to Elysian Island.
Scope out the docks.
Send the photograph to Jamal.
Return to the Salvage Yard.

Planning Work: Disrupt Air Support (Optional)

Eliminate a pilot and destroy their fleet of Mavericks to reduce the number of helicopters available to the La'oub Princess' security.

Location: House in Sandy Shores

Target: Taking out several Mavericks that would defend the cargo ship.

Objectives:

Go to Sandy Shores.
Break into the pilot's apartment.
Eliminate the pilot.
Access the computer
Exit the apartment.
Destroy the Mavericks.

Task: Bolt Cutters

Steal a set of bolt cutters that can be used to break into chain locked shipping containers.

Target: Bolt Cutters

Objectives:

Search the site for bolt cutters.
Steal the bolt cutters.
Deliver the bolt cutters to the Salvage Yard.
Lose the cops.

Task: Flares

Steal some flares to signal the Skylift pilot once you've found the container with the target vehicle.

Location: Los Santos Lifeguard Station

Target: Flares

Objectives:

Search the lifeguard station for flares.
Deliver the flares to the salvage yard.
Lose the cops.

Task: Boat

Steal a boat that can be used to get to the La'oub Princess when it's anchored off the coast.

Location: Storage Facility in Los Santos

Target: Seashark or Dinghy

Objectives:

Break into the storage facility.
Steal a boat
Exit the storage facility.
Deliver the boat to the Salvage Yard.

Task: Masks (Optional)

Collect a set of masks that can reduce the number of guards that will pursue you after the target vehicle is back on land.

Objectives:

Buy a mask.

Planning Work: Skylift

Steal a Skylift that will be used to lift the target vehicle shipping container from the La'oub Princess during the robbery.

Location: Fort Zancudo

Target: Skylift

Objectives:

Go to Fort Zancudo.
Steal the Skylift
Lose the cops.
Deliver the Skylift to the marked location.
Leave the area.

Planning Work: Sabotage and Disguise

Break into an LSPA office and destroy all documents on the La'oub Princess so that it cannot dock. Then steal National Coast Guard outfits that'll allow you to approach the ship at sea without alerting their security.

Location: LSPA office, Del Perro Pier, Los Santos

Target: LSPA documents and outfits

Objectives:

Go to Del Perro Pier.
Break into the LSPA office.
Hack the LSPA database.
Plant the explosives.
Locate the Coast Guard outfit.
Collect the Coast Guard Outfit.
Exit the office.
Detonate the explsoives.
Deliver the outfits to the Salvage Yard.
Lose the cops.

Go to Elysian Island.
Enter the boat
Go out to sea.
Climb aboard the La'oub Princess.
Sneak to the bridge.
Enter the bridge.
Take out the captain.
Search the captain.
Access the bridge terminal.
Cut open the containers.
Protect the Skylift
Deliver the car to the salvage yard.
