Store Robberies are a series of Freemode Missions in GTA Online.
This is a Solo mode that can be played by each GTA Online player individually.
A similar Store Robberies activity is also present in GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City.
Robberies have been a staple of Grand Theft Auto since the beginning of the series, but the ability to actually rob a business at any moment of the game exists in Grand Theft Auto: Online, along with a few other games in the series.
There are 20 stores that the player can rob throughout San Andreas. To rob a store, the player must enter one and aim a weapon at the cashier, causing them to become alarmed. An Intimidation Meter is then displayed on the screen to indicate the time left until the cashier places the money from the register in a bag. The player may either use their voice through the microphone or shoot groceries and drinks to intimidate the clerk further.
In GTA Online, random civilians may intervene and attempt to stop the robbery, but the shopkeeper may also refuse to hand the money, pulling out a gun instead and attacking the player.
If the shopkeeper is killed, the player may pick up the money from the registers themselves.
After a robbery, the player receives a two-star wanted level. If the player robs multiple stores in the same session without changing their mask, the wanted level received gradually increases, up to 5 stars.
Store Robberies: Rewards
The cash earned by the player ranges from $1000 to $3000, with an extra up to $500 from a second cash register that the player can shoot.
Robbing all 20 stores earns the player the Stick Up Kid achievement and the Armed Robber award, which unlocks all variations of the Clown with gun back tattoo.
