Players can purchase and operate illicit Businesses via the new Open Road website on the laptop in their MC Clubhouse (being the President of a Clubhouse is required).

Five different types of business are available to purchase, with four location options to pick from for each type: Document Forgeries, Counterfeit Cash, Weed, Meth and Cocaine. Only one business per type can be owned.

Businesses can be upgraded with a choice of Equipment, Staff or Security upgrades to increase their production rate and reduce the risk of potential attacks from police raids and enemies. Players will have to set up, resupply and defend their Businesses to capitalize on their maximum potential profit.

The location of each business determine the location and difficulty of the sales, with the cheaper businesses located outside the Los Santos city limits, in rural areas.

The Open Road: Business Upgrades

The player can access a business laptop to upgrade it, increasing profitability and efficiency. The three possible upgrades are:

Equipment Upgrade: Purchase this upgrade to install higher quality equipment. This will speed up your production rate, improve the overall value of your product and allow your supplies to stretch further.

Staff Upgrade: Purchase this upgrade to hire more staff. This will speed up your production rate and improve the overall value of your product.

Security Upgrade: Purchase this upgrade to install security personnel and surveillance equipment. This will reduce the likelihood of being raided by the cops or attacked by enemies.
