The Rusted Hunter Hatchet in RDR2 can only be picked up around the map, it is Found in a tree stump outside a shack, halfway between O'Creagh's Run and Elysian Pool (Grizzlies East, Ambarino). It cannot be otherwise purchased.

Rusted Hunter Hatchet Description:

A rare Hatchet, with a long bearded axe bit that allows for greater control when planing or shaving wood. The melee weapon was found in a tree stump near Three Sisters in the Grizzlies, and has been worn by the elements over time. This Hatchet can also be thrown.
