The Red-bellied Woodpecker is a Small-sized bird of the Woodpecker species, featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.

This animal can be hunted, but cannot be skinned. Studying the Red-bellied Woodpecker is required for the "Zoologist" Achievement.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker can be found in Roanoke Ridge. As omnivores, their diet consists of insects, fruits, nuts and berries. A Bow with Small Game Arrows can be used to take down birds of this size, with minimal damage to their carcass. Their carcass and feathers can be used for crafting.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker yields a carcass and gamey bird meat. Used in crafting and cooking or can be sold. Use a Bow with a Small Game Arrow for a clean kill.
