The Legendary Channel Catfish is a Massive-sized fish featured in the Story Mode of Red Dead Redemption 2.
It's not required for the "Zoologist" and "Skin Deep" Achievements.
Jeremy Gill unsuccessfully tried to catch the Legendary Channel Catfish during the Strangers Mission "A Fisher of Fish II".
Legendary Channel Catfish Details & Location:
The official compendium description of the Legendary Channel Catfish states:
The Legendary Channel Catfish is rumored to inhabit in the San Luis River. Fishermen have tried for years to catch this fish but no one has ever been successful. Reports suggest that this fish prefers overcast weather.
The size of this Legendary Catfish could be over ninety inches long and weighing around one-hundred and eighty pounds, which might be why this catfish has never been, and may never be, caught.
However, it has been proven that the Legendary Channel Catfish actually cannot be found anywhere in Red Dead Redemption 2. The model of the fish exists in the game files, but it does not spawn in the game world, and thus it cannot be fished or caught in any way.
