Fast Travel in Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game mechanic that allows you to move directly to a specific destination, skipping the travel time.
Fast Travel in Story Mode
In Red Dead Redemption 2 Story Mode, you can upgrade your Gang Camp tent to acquire a map. You can then use this to open a Fast Travel menu and instantly travel from camp to any towns and locations you have discovered.
Possible Destinations
Select any of these entries and you will automatically reach the destination in question after a brief cutscene:
- Annesburg
- Blackwater (from Epilogue onward)
- Emerald Ranch
- Lagras
- Rhodes
- Saint Denis
- Strawberry
- Valentine
- Van Horn Trading Post
You can also use Trains and Stagecoach Taxis to be transported almost instantly to any town that you have previously visited; ticket prices vary in accordance with the distance traveled.
These methods are particularly helpful when you are engaged in travel-intensive activities, such as treasure hunting or resource gathering.
Fast Travel in Red Dead Online
In Red Dead Online, you can use the Fast Travel signposts. They allow you to quickly travel to various towns and locations around the map, to where your Posse or friends are located, or return to your camp for a flat fee.
You can also upgrade your Camp Tent to unlock fast travel from your Camp.
