The American Muskrat is a Moderate-sized animal of the Muskrat species, featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.

This animal can be hunted and skinned. Studying and skinning the American Muskrat is required for the "Zoologist" and "Skin Deep" Achievements.

American Muskrat Details & Location:

The American Muskrat's main habitat is along the rivers and shores of New Austin, West Elizabeth, Lemoyne and New Hanover. As omnivores, their diet consists of aquatic vegetation, small fish and amphibians. The Varmint Rifle is the most effective way to hunt these rodents. Muskrat skin and scent glands can be used for crafting, and their stringy meat can be used for cooking.
