GTA V: Three Legendary Protagonists
Given the success of Grand Theft Auto V, it goes without saying that the three playable protagonists are legends themselves. The three characters we speak of, Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, And Franklin Clinton have endured the test of time over the last eight years, and they will very soon be immortalized in action figure form. These GTA V action figures are available for preorder from CC Toys, slated for an early 2022 release.
One thing that has been sorely lacking in terms of video game merchandise is perhaps that there have never been any action figures made for GTA V. Rockstar did however deliver a special Claude action figure for the 10th anniversary of GTA III. Other, less popular franchises have sold tons of merchandise, making themselves piles of money in the process. There has not been a Rockstar action figure release since 2011.
NOTE: These action figures, from CC Toys, are NOT licensed Rockstar products. They are simply replicas of characters. Due to legal issues regarding copyright infringement, in order for these figures to be sold, they have to have alternate names. Because of this, Michael's name is Mike, Trevor's is Toveron, and Franklin's is Frank. It does not say GTA V or Rockstar anywhere on the product or their packaging and this is all staying within the legal confines to produce these figures.
Designing The GTA V Action Figures
For those who are not familiar, 1/6 action figures are a highly specialized adult collectible not to be confused with a toy. These are premium plastic replicas of your favorite characters and they basically make every character from every piece of entertainment ever. This includes political figures, famous kings, and of course video game characters. These are not cheap toys, rather they are expensive, highly durable, and detailed figures which are extremely posable and come with all kinds of signature weapons and clothing.
Each GTA V action figure comes with an alternate outfit, specific weapons, and accessories that only their character would use. Trevor comes equipped with a dress and his standard bear best friend, Mr. Raspberry Jam. Franklin comes with a Grove Street colored varsity jacket to blend in on the streets. Michael De Santa comes with his classic suit as well as the carbine rifle he starts the game with. Each character also comes with a ski mask for robbing, two sidearms, bales of money, and a duffle bag to complete a robbery with.
Where Can You Find These Figures?
These GTA V action figures are available for pre-order from various sites such as Toys Heroes. It would be absolutely awesome to own a piece of video game history and display these collectibles in your room. Fair warning though, it won't be cheap, each deluxe action figure will run you $209.99, and if you want all 3, you are looking at well over $600 including taxes and shipping fees. Don't let that deter you if are a true fan and have thought at one time or another that it would be cool to own a collectible version of one of these awesome protagonists.
