Shooting Range Challenges

The Shooting Range Challenges in Grand Theft Auto V are a series of challenges featuring different weapons in two Ammu-Nations in Los Santos - located in Cypress Flats and Pillbox Hill. These challenges are primarily used for improving the Shooting Skill of the three protagonists.

There are multiple weapon categories to choose from for the challenges, and each of these categories presents the player with a selection of weapons and a series of challenges to complete. Hitting targets awards the player with a number of points, which indicates the medal the player will earn at the end of the challenge.

This is an optional endeavor, but obtaining at least a bronze medal in each challenge is required for 100% Completion of the game.

This side activity is also present in GTA Online, GTA San Andreas, GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories.

Shooting Range Challenges: Rewards

Each of the three protagonists can award the player a global item discount for Ammu-Nation:

• All Bronze Medals: All items discounted by 10%
• All Silver Medals: All items discounted by 15%
• All Gold Medals: All items discounted by 25%

If the player earns Gold Medals on all challenges with all three protagonists, all items in Ammu-Nation will have a 75% discount forever.

A row of distant targets that flip individually and exit automatically.

Challenge 3:

Targets take multiple hits to exit. More targets spawn continually.

One row of targets that respawn. Continuous hits increase your multiplier.

Challenge 2:

Targets that exit after multiple hits. Continuous hits increase your multiplier.

Challenge 3:

Infinite respawning targets. Exit after multiple hits. Continuous hits increase your multiplier.

Shooting Range Challenges: Bonus

The Railgun challenges are only available to Returning Players, and are not required to receive discounts.

Stationary and moving targets. Destroy as many as possible with each shot.

Challenge 2:

Multiple moving targets. Destroy as many as possible with each shot.

Challenge 3:

Multiple moving targets of varying height and speed. Destroy as many as possible with each shot.

Challenge 4:

Multiple quick moving targets of varying heights. Destroy as many as possible with each shot.
