The Railgun is a weapon in the Heavy Weapons class featured in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, added to the game as part of the 1.18 PS4 & Xbox One Release update on November 18, 2014.
The design of the Railgun is based on a real life ARC-920 (Halo). The in-game version of the weapon is manufactured by Coil.
This weapon can be tinted in a different color, but does not have any attachment customizations.
How to get the Railgun in GTA 5 Story Mode:
The Railgun is available in Story Mode only for returning players that owned the original PS3 / Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto V.
In the Story Mode of GTA V, the Railgun can be purchased from Ammu-Nation for a price of $250,000.
It becomes available after completing the mission Minor Turbulence in Story Mode.
How to get the Railgun in GTA Online:
The Railgun can be purchased in GTA Online from Gun Van for a price of $730,000.
While it was originally exclusive to the Story Mode of GTA V, the Railgun has been made available in GTA Online on January 12, 2023 as part of the continuation of the Los Santos Drug Wars Update (1.64).
However, the GTA Online version of the Railgun is nerfed compared to the Story Mode counterpart, dealing half the damage than it does in single-player, and having a slower bullet velocity.
Railgun Description:
Fully-automatic, battery-powered gun, perfect for those looking for a more unusual yet highly-lethal weapon.
