
Ammu-Nation Shooting Range is an Activity in GTA San Andreas. It becomes available after completing Doberman.
Complete the Ammu-Nation weapon challenges to improve your gunmanship skills.
This is an optional endeavor, but it is required for 100% completion of the game. It's not time-sensitive, meaning it can be played at any point, even after the main storyline is completed.
This side activity is also present in GTA Online, Grand Theft Auto V, GTA Vice City, GTA Vice City Stories and GTA Chinatown Wars.

The Ammu-Nation Shooting Range is an activity available in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, allowing the player to improve their weapon skills by completing a series of challenges for the following weapons:
- Pistol (Available after Doberman)
- Micro SMG (Available after Doberman)
- Shotgun (Available after The Green Sabre)
- AK-47 (Available after Yay Ka-Boom-Boom)
Not all Ammu-Nations are big enough to accommodate Weapon Ranges. The locations where these challenges take place are the following:
- Downtown Los Santos, Los Santos
- Palomino Creek, Red County
- Blueberry, Red County
- Ocean Flats, San Fierro
- El Quebrados, Tierra Robada
- Come-A-Lot, Las Venturas
- Old Venturas Strip, Las Venturas
Ammu-Nation Shooting Range: Rounds
Round 1:
A total of three targets are dropped in the playfield. After destroying one, the next one drops at a greater distance. To destroy a target, CJ must shoot the center of each of the seven circles on it. To pass this round, the player must destroy their three targets before the competitors destroy theirs.
Round 2:
A total of three targets are dropped in the playfield. The target spawns at the back of the range and slowly moves towards the player. To destroy a target, CJ must shoot the center of each of the seven circles on it. After destroying a target, another one appears at the back of the range. To pass this round, the player must destroy their three targets before the competitors destroy theirs.
Round 3:
Only one target moves across the playfield. All the competitors shoot this target, and the first one to score 20 points wins. Points are earned for each piece of the target removed. When a target is destroyed, a new one appears to replace it.
Ammu-Nation Shooting Range: Rewards
Completing the GTA: San Andreas Ammu-Nation Shooting Range Challenges awards $10,000. Additionally, the player receives a one-time increase of weapon skill level by 200 (50 for each round, plus an additional 50 for completing all three rounds) for each of the four weapons.
