Merino Sheep

The Merino Sheep is a Large-sized animal of the Sheep species, featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.

This is a Domestic Animal, so killing it or harming it decreases Honor and attracts a Wanted Level.

This animal can be hunted and skinned. Studying the Merino Sheep is required for the "Zoologist" Achievement.

The Merino Sheep can be found on ranches and in towns across New Hanover. As herbivores, they feed on pasture plants, grasses, clovers and forbs. A repeater, or a Bow with arrows, is considered to be the best weapon for hunting sheep. Their wool can be used for crafting, and their gristly meat can be consumed.

Merino Sheep Hunting Tips:

The Merino Sheep yields a hide and gristly mutton. Used in crafting and cooking or can be sold. Use a repeater for a clean kill.
