The Tear Gas is a weapon in the Thrown Weapons class featured in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online.

The design of the Tear Gas is based on a real life M18 Smoke Grenade. The in-game version of the weapon is manufactured by Hawk & Little.

This weapon cannot be customized.

The Tear Gas also appears in GTA 6, GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City.

How to get the Tear Gas in GTA 5 Story Mode:

In GTA V, the Tear Gas can be simply found and picked up around the map (see the spawn locations in the "Appearances" section below), or it can be purchased for a price of $150.

It becomes available after completing the mission The Jewel Store Job (Loud Approach) and The Jewel Store Job (Smart Approach) in Story Mode.

How to get the Tear Gas in GTA Online:

In GTA Online, the Tear Gas can be simply found and picked up around the map (see the spawn locations in the "Appearances" section below), or it can be purchased for a price of $150.

It's unlocked for purchase after reaching Rank 13 in GTA Online.

Tear Gas Description:

Tear gas grenade, particularly effective at incapacitating multiple assailants. Sustained exposure can be lethal.
