Towing Missions

Towing Missions are a repeatable Property Management mission in Grand Theft Auto V that allows Franklin Clinton to tow abandoned, damaged, or illegally parked vehicles using a Tow Truck.

The activity becomes available after purchasing the LSPD Auto Impound and completing all Tonya's Strangers and Freaks missions.

Each successfully delivered vehicle earns up to $500, with the maximum reward given for avoiding damage.

This is an optional endeavor, not required for 100% Completion of the game.

How to Start a Towing Mission

Before Franklin can start completing Towing Missions, several requirements must be met:

• Complete the story mission Friends Reunited.
• Finish all of Tonya Wiggins's Strangers & Freaks missions, ending with Pulling One Last Favor.
• Purchase the LSPD Auto Impound property.

Once the requirements have been completed, you can travel to the LSPD Auto Impound and enter the parked Tow Truck.

There are two ways to receive a job:

• Press the horn button to radio Rodney and request a towing assignment.
• Wait for Rodney to contact you over the radio with a dispatch call.

After completing a mission, another dispatch will become available after a short delay, allowing the activity to be repeated indefinitely.

Towing Mission Scenarios

Several different mission scenarios can be encountered at random.

Abandoned Car

An abandoned vehicle must be removed from a parking space and transported back to the LSPD Auto Impound - similar to the mission Pulling Favors.

Sometimes the vehicle isn't actually abandoned. A homeless person or an individual using drugs may still be inside. If the vehicle is hooked while occupied, the person may become hostile and attack Franklin.

Broken Down Car

A stranded motorist has suffered a mechanical failure and needs assistance - similar to the mission Still Pulling Favors.

After attaching the disabled vehicle to the Tow Truck, the driver climbs into Franklin's cab for a ride to an Auto Shop.

Illegally Parked Car

A vehicle has been parked illegally and must be impounded at the LSPD Auto Impound - similar to the mission Pulling Another Favor.

Occasionally, the vehicle is occupied when Franklin arrives. In some cases, the occupants quickly leave once the car is lifted onto the tow hook.

If the vehicle is unattended, its owner may suddenly appear and attempt to stop the tow by chasing Franklin or trying to enter the Tow Truck.

Stalled Car

A vehicle has become stranded on the train tracks - similar to the mission Pulling Favors Again.

Like the Broken Down Car scenario, the stranded driver accompanies Franklin during the tow to an Auto Shop.

Crashed Car

Following a traffic accident, an abandoned wreck must be removed from the road and towed to an Auto Shop - similar to the mission Pulling One Last Favor.

When Franklin arrives, an Ambulance will be seen leaving, while a few NPCs remain near the crash scene.

Auto Repair Shop Locations

The Broken Down, Crashed, and Stalled Car missions require vehicles to be delivered to one of several repair shops around Los Santos.

The possible destinations include:

• Otto's Auto Parts – Popular Street, La Mesa
• Glass Heroes Auto Repairs – Power Street, Strawberry
• Vapid of Los Santos – Adam's Apple Boulevard, Pillbox Hill

The destination is automatically marked on the map once the mission begins.

Tips for Towing Missions

• Drive smoothly to avoid damaging the vehicle you're transporting.
• Be prepared for hostile NPCs during Abandoned Car missions.
• Watch your surroundings when towing vehicles from busy streets or intersections.
• Use the minimap to avoid low bridges, tight turns, and heavy traffic whenever possible.
• After completing a job, remain in the Tow Truck if you want to quickly receive another dispatch.
