The Hatchet can be purchased in Red Dead Online at any Fence for a price of $4.25 .

It's unlocked for purchase after reaching Rank 28 in Red Dead Online.

How to get the Hatchet in RDR2 Story Mode:

The Hatchet can be purchased in RDR2 Story Mode at the Fence for a price of $4.25.

It becomes available after completing the mission Dear Uncle Tacitus in Story Mode.

Hatchet Description:

A basic hand axe, with a wedged steel blade and long wooden handle. Designed for chopping wood, this powerful one-handed weapon can be swung to deliver a large amount of damage to an opponent. In a pinch, it can also be thrown at a target to take them down from a distance.
