Project Overthrow

Project Overthrow is a series of Contact Missions in GTA Online, given by Charlie Reed and associated to the Avenger property.

This job has been added to the game as part of the 1.67 Mercenaries update on July 13, 2023, and is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

This is a Solo or Co-Op mode that can be played by 1 to 4 players.

Join up with expert pilot and skilled merc Charlie Reed to lead his new outfit — the Los Santos Angels — on a series of dangerous counter operations to disarm and disrupt the ruthless forces of Merryweather Security, with the chance for you and your friends to earn your own fortunes along the way.

These missions can be accessed from the console installed in the player's Avenger.

Project Overthrow: Locations / Variations

Reporting for Duty

Alright, we're prepping an attack at Davis Quartz. Intel suggests Merryweather's crawling all over the quarry and whatever they're safeguarding down there, we want it. This is high tier, so grab your wings and give them something to cry about.

Unlocked After: Purchasing an Operations Terminal for the Avenger

Mission Objectives:

Go to Davis Quartz Quarry.
Destroy the Merryweather supply trailers.
Go to the container.
Deliver the Draugur to the LSA Lockup.

Falling In

Time to interrupt Merryweather's anti-smuggler operations. Think of it as legitimate asset acquisition, with some illegitimate steps. Merryweather don't do things by the book, so why should we? We get supplies. They get pissed off. That's a win-win for the LSA.

On Parade

You'll want in on this. Got some flight tests scheduled and the Angels need a skilled pilot to take the controls. Get airborne in some welcome-to-the-future jets, test the stealth mode, pull some tricks, and hit some targets. Easy for someone like you. You in?

Location: Fort Zancudo; Raton Canyon; Sandy Shores Airfield

Mission Objectives:

Use stealth to fly through the air defenses.
Fly to Sandy Shores Airfield.
Test out the jet by performing flight manoeuvers.
Return to Sandy Shores.
Destroy AR targets.
Return the F-160 Raiju to the Fort Zancudo hangar.
Take out the Merryweather agents.
Return the F-160 Raiju to the Fort Zancudo hangar.

Breaking Ranks

OK listen up. This mission's a good old-fashioned smash and grab. Merryweather's prepping a move, and they're taking a ton of valuable tech with them. All you gotta do is intercept. If you're lucky, you'll be in and out in no time. If you're unlucky... well let's focus on being lucky, OK?

Unconventional Warfare

Okay, this is a hostage rescue operation. To reduce our exposure, we're keeping our extraction force to a minimum, infiltrating the target building and finding our guy won't be a cake walk. We're grabbing their most valuable asset yet, so fuckups are not an option.

This is the big one. LSA's chance to break Merryweather's stranglehold over San Andreas. Let's hit them where it hurts: right in the government funding. We've confirmed their HQ, but don't underestimate their capabilities. They're on the defensive, and you're on their hitlist.
