The Fuzz Ball

The Fuzz Ball is a main story mission in GTA 3, given to Claude by Luigi Goterelli.

It's the 6° mission in GTA III in chronological order, and it takes place in Portland. It becomes available after completing Pump-Action Pimp.

GTA 3: "The Fuzz Ball" Walkthrough

The Fuzz Ball is the final mission given to Claude by Luigi Goterelli, and it first becomes available after the mission 'Pump Action Pimp.' It becomes unavailable if you fail to complete it before the 'Last Requests' mission. A policeman's ball is being held at the Old School Hall on the outskirts of Chinatown, and Claude must deliver at least four prostitutes before the time expires. 

Time Constraint

The Fuzz Ball, if completed before 'Mike Lips Last Lunch', introduces the player to timed missions. Claude will have five minutes to pick up as many prostitutes as he can and get them to the Old School Hall. 

Things to Consider

You'll want to be prepared before triggering the mission. You'll want to park a vehicle just outside of Luigi's club before entering the marker. Failure to do so will leave you hunting for a vehicle, burning precious seconds off the clock. The type of vehicle you use is also important. Two-door vehicles such as the Esperanto or Manana will only allow you to transport one prostitute at a time. You'll want to make sure you have at least a four-door vehicle, such as the Mafia Sentinel or Coach.

Four-Door or Coach

The more women you pick up and deliver, the more cash you earn. Though money isn't hard to come by in Grand Theft Auto III, it's useful in the opening missions, as you can spend your cash on useful items such as Pistol or Uzi ammo available at the local Ammu-Nation. Delivering all eight women dotted on the map will give you a bonus at the end of the mission. So which method of transportation should you use? If you prefer using a Bus/Coach over a standard 4-door vehicle, you can find one at the depot in Trenton.

4-Door Vehicle Pros & Cons

Pros:

• Completes the objective faster
• Better handling

Cons:

• Higher risk of running out of time before completing the mission
• Can't transport as many prostitutes

Bus/Coach Pros & Cons

Pros: 

• It can transport more than three women at one time
• Lower risk of running out of time before the mission ends

Cons: 

• Worse handling than a standard vehicle
• Can easily be destroyed

A bus/coach doesn't stop on a dime. If you're moving at a steady clip, you'll want to slow down well before you approach a prostitute to pick them up. If you manage to run one over and somehow pin her beneath your tires, there's a risk of killing them, thus failing the mission. A bus can also topple over easily. If you take a standard vehicle, you can utilize shortcuts to pick up women faster. If you somehow flip your wheels, the two or three women following you will have a better chance of clambering out before the vehicle is destroyed. There won't be enough time for all of them to exit the Coach safely if it topples over, causing you to fail the mission. 

Completing the Mission

Tear through the streets, picking up as many hookers as you can, delivering them to the ball before the timer expires. Managing the bare minimum of 4 will net you a cool $2,000. Each additional prostitute will grant you an additional $500, making a total of $4,000 up for grabs.
