Fishing

Fishing is an Activity that players can perform in GTA 6.

This is an optional endeavor, but it is required for 100% completion of the game. It's not time-sensitive, meaning it can be played at any point, even after the main storyline is completed.

This side activity is also present in Red Dead 2.

Fishing - Activity Details:

Fishing is a recreational side activity available in multiple locations across Leonida. Players can fish from shorelines, docks, or boats using different types of rods and bait. A variety of freshwater and saltwater fish can be caught, with some tied to specific challenges or collections.

The fishing mechanics are designed to offer a detailed experience, with a level of depth comparable to the fishing system featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Unlike in Red Dead Redemption 2, caught fish cannot be kept by the player. Instead, fishing follows a catch-and-release system, with fish being returned to the water after they are caught.
