Rockstar Games has officially announced that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on August 27, giving fans their next major look at the highly anticipated game.
The announcement marks Rockstar's first GTA VI news update since pre-orders opened, confirming that the presentation will debut exclusively on Netflix before becoming available later the same day on YouTube and the official GTA VI website.
When Can You Watch?
Rockstar has confirmed the following release schedule for the presentation:
- Netflix Premiere: August 27 at 3:00 PM ET
- YouTube & Official GTA VI Website: August 27 at 9:00 PM ET
This means fans who don't have Netflix will only have to wait six hours before watching the presentation on Rockstar's official channels.
What Could "An Extended Look" Include?
While Rockstar hasn't revealed exactly what the presentation will contain, the title certainly suggests something much more substantial than a traditional trailer.
There's a good chance we'll get an in-depth gameplay showcase, possibly featuring developer narration that explains GTA VI's new mechanics, characters, and world.
Whatever form it takes, this looks set to be one of the biggest GTA VI reveals yet.
New Artwork and Teaser Released
Alongside the announcement, Rockstar has updated the official GTA VI website with brand-new promotional artwork and released a short teaser promoting the upcoming presentation.
Although the teaser doesn't reveal any new gameplay, it helps build anticipation for what promises to be Rockstar's most detailed look at GTA VI so far.
With the game's release now set for November 19, Rockstar's marketing campaign is clearly ramping up. If this "Extended Look" delivers the level of detail fans are hoping for, August 27 could be one of the biggest days for the GTA community since the release of Trailer 2.
