Yuka resides in Staunton Island, Liberty City, and attends school at Liberty Campus. She is the niece of Asuka Kasen, the co-leader of the Yakuza. Yuka is kidnapped by Mike on orders from Cisco, the Colombian Cartel leader, as part of a scheme to blackmail Asuka.

Despite the kidnapping, Yuka is later rescued by Mike when Asuka, unaware of Mike's prior involvement, employs him to save her. Yuka's kidnapping seems to have a long-term impact on Asuka's decisions, including her trust issues with new employees, as suggested by her later interactions with Mike and Claude.
